Privacy — Kirchenmaus
App for Austria, Germany and Switzerland
1. Controller
The controller for the app Kirchenmaus (bundle ID com.auner.kirchenmaus) is the developer Daniel Auner.
Contact: support@auner.at
There is no user account and no central user database held by the developer.
2. What data does the app store?
On your device (SwiftData / app sandbox), depending on use:
— Entries, opening balance, fixed costs, savings goals, categories
— Settings (name, country, learning path, optional Face ID lock)
— Optional JSON/CSV exports and encrypted backups (.kmbackup)
— Learning progress (stars, completed modules)
— Optional: photos/camera used locally only for text recognition on pay slips (Vision), with no upload to the developer
Kirchenmaus has no bank login and does not send your entries to any server of the developer.
3. iCloud / CloudKit
If you are signed in to iCloud and CloudKit is active, SwiftData can synchronise the app data between your devices via your Apple account (container iCloud.com.auner.kirchenmaus). Apple acts as processor in accordance with the Apple privacy policy.
4. Face ID / device passcode
The optional app lock uses Face ID or the device passcode locally only, to unlock the app. Raw biometric data never leaves the device and is not stored by the developer.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob) and consent (UMP)
In the free version (adult path), advertising may be displayed via Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, app open). Before ads are loaded, a consent dialogue (Google User Messaging Platform / UMP) may appear where legally required.
For this purpose AdMob may process device data and advertising identifiers in accordance with your consent and the Google privacy policy.
In the Kids learning path, Kirchenmaus deliberately shows no advertising and offers no Plus purchase.
6. Game reward (Kirchenlauf)
The opening balance and new deposits into the money box grant virtual lives for the Kirchenlauf game (1 currency unit = 1 run). The balance of the money box itself is not affected. With Kirchenmaus Plus: if the balance exceeds the highest savings goal, an unlimited number of runs is possible (same difficulty, without deducting lives).
This is a reward for saving: winnings are game rounds within the app only — no payout, no real money, and no use of in-app purchase credit in the game.
7. Game Center
The app can send the Kirchenlauf score to Apple Game Center and display the ranking (leaderboard kirchenmaus.kirchenlauf.score). Apple processes this in accordance with the Apple privacy information. Without signing in, the record remains local only. There is no global board in the Kids path.
8. In-app purchase (Kirchenmaus Plus)
Optional: one-off purchase of Kirchenmaus Plus (non-consumable, product ID kirchenmaus.werbung.entfernen): no advertising, monthly overview, CSV export with year filter, savings-goal and fixed-cost widgets, and unlimited Kirchenlauf runs above the savings goal. Billing and receipt are handled by Apple StoreKit.
9. Widget
Home screen widgets read the balance and savings-goal or fixed-cost information from the device via the app group group.com.auner.kirchenmaus — the widgets themselves have no network access.
10. Export and sharing
When you export or share backups or CSV files, you decide the recipient. The app warns about insecure channels. Encrypted backups require a password (local CryptoKit encryption).
11. Your rights (GDPR)
The developer holds no server databases containing your entries. You can delete or export data within the app, or uninstall the app.
For AdMob and Apple (iCloud, StoreKit, Game Center), their respective data subject rights and information channels apply.
