About the event

Vienna Hofburg Orchestra

Works by Fritz Kreisler

In a version of Fritz Kreisler’s “Caprice Viennois” specially adapted for this concert, conductor Daniel Auner will also shine as a virtuoso violin soloist.

The Monti Csardas, performed by Christian Scholl, long-time concertmaster of the Vienna Hofburg Orchestra, is another highlight of the concert.

The evening is rounded off with the elegance and joie de vivre of Mozart's most famous opera arias and the most beautiful melodies from the operettas of Strauss, Léhàr, and Kalman. The rousing waltzes and polkas by Johann and Josef Strauss will allow you to experience the lightness of Viennese life and musically transport you to historic Vienna at the end of the 19th century.

Daniel Auner proudly plays on  a Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin that belongs to the collection of the Austrian National Bank. The instrument sounds even better with DOMINANT PRO strings by Thomastik Infeld.
