No servers, no user profiles
We operate no servers of our own on which the app stores or processes user data. There are no user accounts and no tracking. No third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services are used.
Data in the app (on your device only)
The following information is stored exclusively locally on your iPhone/iPad:
App settings (language, font size, contrast)
Travel plans and saved places
Etiquette favourites
Audio guide progress
POI content and offline map
This data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or delete content in the settings. We have no access to it.
Location (optional)
If you grant location access “While Using the App” in iOS, the map can show your position. Location data is processed on the device only and is not transmitted to us. You can revoke this at any time in the iOS settings.
Apple: App Store & additional content
The app purchase and premium unlocks run through the Apple App Store. We receive no payment data, only a purchase confirmation from Apple.
The HD map and audio guides (premium) are loaded onto your device via Apple On-Demand Resources — not via servers of ours. As the platform provider, Apple may process technical connection data. Details: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Optional online features & external links
With an internet connection the app can query public services (e.g. holidays, opening hours, walking routes) or you deliberately open external links — tickets, Wikipedia, Google Maps / Apple Maps, schedules. In doing so you leave our app or use third-party services under their privacy terms. With such queries, your IP address is technically transmitted to the respective service. No user profiles are transmitted to us.
This website
This page is a static information page (support, legal notice, privacy). The app sends no data to this page. If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details only to handle your enquiry.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. You can remove app data at any time by uninstalling the app. Requests: 1435Vienna@danielauner.com.
Right to complain
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Austria with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (DSB), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
